Copyright and DMCA Policy
1. Respect for Creator Rights
SongRight respects the rights of songwriters, artists, producers, publishers, performers, labels, photographers, designers, and other creators. Do not upload, post, or share content unless you own it or have the rights needed to use it.
2. Content Covered
This policy applies to content available through SongRight, including:
- feed posts, captions, comments, and collaboration requests
- lyrics, note excerpts, and creative text
- uploaded audio and profile images
- public profile content and other user-published material
3. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on SongRight infringes your copyright, send a written notice to support@songrightapp.com with enough information for SongRight to review and locate the material.
A useful notice should include:
- your name and contact information
- the copyrighted work you believe was infringed
- the SongRight content you believe is infringing, such as username, post details, screenshots, or other identifying information
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner
- your physical or electronic signature
4. What SongRight May Do
After reviewing a copyright complaint, SongRight may:
- remove or disable access to identified material
- notify the user who posted the material
- create internal moderation or copyright records
- request more information from the complainant or affected user
- take account action where appropriate
5. Counter-Notices
If your content was removed because of a copyright complaint and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, contact support@songrightapp.com with enough detail for SongRight to review the issue.
6. Repeat Infringers
SongRight may suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe copyrights or repeatedly submit content removed after valid copyright complaints.
7. Other Rights Complaints
For trademark, impersonation, privacy, publicity, defamation, or other rights concerns, contact support@songrightapp.com with enough information for SongRight to review.
8. No Legal Advice
SongRight does not decide ownership of songs, notes, lyrics, audio, publishing shares, master rights, royalties, contracts, or collaborator disputes. SongRight may remove or restrict content to reduce legal or safety risk, but its action or inaction is not a legal determination.
